Our learners were uplifted by a transformative session on Sunday, May 18, 2025, during Term 2! 🎯🙏 Led by our dedicated Counselor and Pastor, Mr. Asava Boniface, the day blended spiritual inspiration with practical career guidance and counselling, reinforcing our commitment to holistic development and our motto: #ExcellenceIsOurPride.
A Sermon on Vision and Faith
Mr. Asava delivered an inspiring sermon titled “Having a Vision and Planning with God,” urging learners to root their goals in faith and purpose. Drawing from biblical principles, he encouraged students to set clear visions while trusting divine guidance, aligning with the Competency-Based Education (CBE) system’s emphasis on self-awareness and resilience. This message resonated deeply, fostering spiritual growth as learners prepare for academic milestones like the Kenya Junior Secondary Education Assessment (KJSEA).
One learner shared, “The sermon inspired me to plan my future with faith. I feel motivated!” The serene savanna backdrop of the Chemelil Area provided a peaceful setting for this reflective service, strengthening our community’s spiritual bond.
Empowering Grade 9 with Career Guidance
Following the service, Mr. Asava conducted an impactful session for Grade 9 learners on Pre-Career Development and Career Pathways. This workshop equipped students with tools to explore their interests, strengths, and career options, preparing them for critical transitions. Aligned with CBE’s focus on career readiness, the session empowered learners to make informed decisions about their future. A Grade 9 student noted, “Mr. Asava helped me understand which career fits me best. I’m excited!” Parents praised the initiative, with one saying, “Dreams Hill’s guidance ensures my child is ready for life beyond school.”
