This impactful session, organized by our visionary School Management and Administration, empowered our learners with clarity and confidence as they prepare for their transition to Senior School. A Roadmap to Success
The career pathways session was a pivotal moment for our Grade 9 learners as they approach the Kenya Junior Secondary Education Assessment (KJSEA) and the transition to Senior School. Mr. Barine, a seasoned facilitator, delivered a comprehensive and engaging presentation that demystified the 3 Competency-Based Education (CBE) Career Pathways—Arts and Sports Science, Social Sciences, and Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). He provided detailed insights into the various tracks within each pathway, the 571 subject combinations available, and the process of selecting Senior Schools that align with learners’ aspirations and strengths.
This session equipped our students with the knowledge to make informed decisions about their academic and career futures. By understanding the diverse opportunities within the CBE framework, learners gained clarity on how to align their interests and talents with their subject choices. One student shared, “Mr. Barine’s session helped me see so many possibilities for my future. I now know which path I want to take!” This newfound confidence reflects the session’s success in fostering self-awareness and decision-making, key competencies of the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC).
