We were honored to host Rose Poka, the Youth African Representative of the Duke of Edinburgh International Award Foundation, on March 14, 2025! 🌟 As an Emerging Leader, Gold Award Holder, and Trained Assessor of the President’s Award Kenya, Rose visited our President’s Award Club to assess, guide, and inspire our learners as they prepare for their adventurous journey and completion of the Bronze Level. Her visit ignited a renewed passion for leadership and resilience, embodying our motto: #ExcellenceIsOurPride.

Inspiring the Next Generation of Leaders
Rose Poka’s mentorship was a transformative experience for our learners, who are actively pursuing the President’s Award program. Through her engaging sessions, she shared insights on resilience, goal-setting, and the importance of community service, encouraging students to push their limits. Her words resonated deeply, aligning with the Competency-Based Education (CBE) system’s focus on self-efficacy, leadership, and social responsibility.
One learner shared, “Rose’s encouragement made me believe I can achieve my Bronze Award and become a stronger leader!” Her presence inspired our students to approach their adventurous journey—comprising physical recreation, skills development, and voluntary service—with renewed determination. The Dreams Hill Journalism Club captured the day’s highlights through photos, which will be shared on our website and social media platforms, celebrating this impactful visit.
A Tribute to Our Dedicated Patron
We extend heartfelt appreciation to our President’s Award Club Patron, Miss Emmanuella, whose unwavering dedication has been instrumental in shaping our learners into resilient, confident, and responsible young leaders. Her consistent guidance and mentorship have fostered a supportive environment, ensuring our students thrive in the program and beyond. Miss Emmanuella’s commitment reflects our school’s mission to nurture excellence in all facets of life.
