We launched the first week of Term 2 on May 2, 2025, with a vibrant assembly that set an inspiring tone for the term! 🎉🎉 Our dedicated Principal, Mr. Maburi, officially welcomed all learners back, celebrating their return and honoring outstanding achievements, embodying our motto: #ExcellenceIsOurPride.
Celebrating Chess Champions
During the assembly, Mr. Maburi proudly awarded certificates to our Chess Club Champions, who represented Dreams Hill School with distinction at the Kenya National Chess Championships held at Mang’u High School during the April holiday. Following their success at the Regional Qualifiers, where Ian Kimutai and Blessing Jerutich secured top positions and over 60 learners qualified, their performance at nationals showcased exceptional strategy and critical thinking. One champion shared, “Receiving my certificate felt amazing! Chess has taught me to think strategically.”
Applauding the President’s Award Club
Mr. Maburi also commended the courageous members of the President’s Award Club for successfully completing their Bronze Adventurous Journey at Ngong Hills, Kajiado County, over the April holiday. This challenging expedition tested their resilience, teamwork, and leadership, aligning with the Competency-Based Education (CBE) system’s focus on self-efficacy and social responsibility. A club member reflected, “The journey was tough, but it made me stronger and proud to represent our school.”
These achievements complement our holistic approach, preparing learners for academic milestones like the Kenya Junior Secondary Education Assessment (KJSEA) while fostering life skills. Parents expressed pride, with one noting, “Dreams Hill School’s commitment to excellence shines through these accomplishments.”
A Vibrant Start to Term 2
Set against the scenic savanna backdrop of the Chemelil Area, the assembly was a celebration of our learners’ dedication and the school’s nurturing environment. The Dreams Hill Journalism Club captured the joyous moments through photos, which will be shared on our website and social media platforms, inviting our community to join in the celebration. This event builds on Term 1 successes, such as the County Music & Drama Festival triumphs and Karate Club grading achievements, setting a high bar for Term 2.
