Department, the club empowers learners with digital literacy, technical skills, and electronics knowledge, reinforcing our recent recognition as 1st Runner-Up in Technology & Digital Skills at the Great Places to School Awards 2025. Fueling a Digital Future
The Coding & Robotics Club remains a cornerstone of our STEM initiatives, where learners explore programming, robotics, and problem-solving. From coding interactive programs to building functional robots, students develop critical thinking, teamwork, and hands-on expertise, aligning with the Competency-Based Education (CBE) system’s focus on innovation and collaboration. These skills prepare them for academic milestones like the Kenya Junior Secondary Education Assessment (KJSEA) and future STEM careers.
Recent projects include designing simple apps and robotic models, with one learner sharing, “Building a robot that moves on its own was so cool! I want to create more.” Parents have lauded the club’s impact, with one stating, “The club’s work reflects why Dreams Hill won a national technology award. My child is ready for the digital world!” The Dreams Hill Journalism Club captured these innovative projects through photos, which will be shared on our website and social media platforms, showcasing our learners’ technological achievements.
Mentorship Driving Excellence
Mr. Wesley and Mr. Felix Ochieng continue to provide exceptional mentorship, guiding learners through coding languages like Python and robotics frameworks. Leveraging our state-of-the-art Junior School Computer Lab, the club builds on its Term 2 momentum, complementing successes like our Sub-County Music Festival triumphs (17 first positions) and Volleyball Team’s competitive spirit. Our 1st Runner-Up award in Technology & Digital Skills at the GPTS Awards 2025, held at Panari Hotel, Nairobi, underscores the club’s role in our digital transformation.
